Maranda Demuth
Eastman Government Affairs
A lifelong resident of Kingsport, Maranda Demuth began her career at Eastman in marketing research. Since that time, she has held various positions in market development, communications, and public affairs. With communications and crisis management experience across legal, public affairs, government relations, product stewardship and advocacy, environmental affairs, supply chain, sustainability, and Eastman’s business organizations, she brings a unique perspective to engaging across the value chain.
As a member of Eastman’s Government Affairs organization, she works with an incredible team to tackle tough issues. Her team collaborates both inside the company and with external influencers to address issues that truly matter and advocate for positive change. Her priority is advocating for circular solutions to the global waste problem. By focusing on policy makers, trade organizations, and peer companies, she uses an extensive network to understand issues and complex dynamics to educate, inform, and influence to progress Eastman’s advocacy objectives.
Over the course of her career, she’s had the privilege of building experiences that enable her to focus on developing solutions for real world problems. She loves the challenge of a giant hairball and connecting the right resources to untangle the mess.
She spent years as a volunteer supporting Kingsport’s Fun Fest, graduated from both Leadership Kingsport and Johnson City and has served as a Board member for several local non-profits. She was included in the Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” awards that recognize outstanding young leaders under the age of 40 for their professional achievements and community contributions.
She is an active member of the Frontier Health Board and served as Chair in 2025.
Maranda resides in Kingsport, Tennessee with her two children and menagerie of rescue animals. She and holds a degree in Business Administration and Communications from East Tennessee State University and an executive certificate in grant writing from the University of Notre Dame – Mendoza College of Business.
